Nets land Jahlil Okafor in stunning trade with 76ers

Jahlil Okafor is finally getting out of Philadelphia.

The No. 3 pick by the Sixers in the 2015 draft had fallen out of favor in Philly, buried on the depth chart and seeking trade dating back to last season.

Booker, the 76ers' reward, was averaging just over 10 points and two assists in 18 games played this season. As part of the deal, Okafor would join the Nets along with Nik Stauskas and a future second-round pick in exchange for Trevor Booker. While the 76ers probably would have liked to received a little more in return for someone they drafted so high just two years ago, they are adding a solid veteran to their mix of young talent. "I've done everything they've asked of me and I would just like to get an opportunity to play with a trade or a buyout".

The drives included images and videos of young girls mostly under the age of 12, including some as young as 6. This does not sit well for McKayla Maroney, who does not believe there should be a limit on Nassar's term.

Okafor publicly requested a trade or buyout on November 1 and the team declined his $6.3 million team option.

Stauskas has played in six games for the 76ers on the year.

In Brooklyn, Okafor will get the chance to team up with the player who was selected before him in the 2015 Draft, D'Angelo Russell. He averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game as a rookie, and the rebuilding Nets are clearly ready to take a risk on the 6-11 center.
