Four National-Level Powerlifting Players Killed in Road Accident; World Champion Seriously Injured

Five men, including a national- level powerlifter, died and one other person was injured after their vehicle met with an accident in the early hours on Sunday near the Delhi-Haryana border, police said.

Yadav, along with five other powerlifters, were travelling from Panipat towards Delhi in their Swift Dzire auto, when the vehicle hit a road divider.

The players met with the accident at 4 am at a place called Alipur village near Singhu border.

The injured in hospital are unconscious. All four weight-lifters were killed in the accident on Delhi-Panipat National Highway-1.
