According to Hindustan Times report, 20 candidates have scored an overall 100 percentile in CAT 2017. The students are advised to keep a check on the official website of the institute to access CAT result. CAT 2017 was held on November 26 in two sessions, wherein about 2.31 lakh students appeared for the common admission test this year.

A total of 1,99,632 candidates had appeared for the exam, the largest number in last three years. However, after making an enquiry with IIM-Lucknow which is a nodal institutes to organise this year CAT examination, it has become clear that as planned earlier, the CAT 2017 results will be announced in the second week of January, 2018.

CAT score is valid for admission in management programs offered by 20 Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and over 100 other B-Schools. IIM Lucknow will call candidates for interviews in February-April. "Apart from the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section which was hard this year, the students got good scores in other two sections", said Arvind Mantry, centre director, TIME, Chennai.

Although a percentile above 90 is desirable, it is not the only criteria on which candidates are shortlisted for AWT (Academic Writing Test) and Persona Interview (PI).
