Call of Duty: WWII Trailer Features 'The Darkest Shore' Nazi Zombies Map

What does it all mean

The Nazi Zombie invasion saga will pick up very soon for PS4 players, so Activision dropped off a stinking fresh new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies - The Darkest Shore.

The Darkest Shore follows our heroes into the next chapter of their risky journey. Intel received by the heroes indicates that Doktor Straub is hiding on an island north of Germany. A tactically important naval base for the Axis, the island is surrounded by air and sea power - and of course crawling with the undead. The game's publisher Activision promises that these Nazi zombies are "more cunning, quick, and even more bloodthirsty than before". It also adds a fog environmental effect, which will make it much more hard to spot approaching enemies.

Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson will need to fight off legions of war-ready zombies, as well as survive Nazi airstrikes, strafing runs, and naval artillery barrages. The trailer also reveals that planes and the use of anti-aircraft will have an impact (pun intended) on the story, and that zombies will emerge from the seas. The new map is part of the upcoming The Resistance DLC, which is set to go live on January 30. The horde of zombies are as menacing as ever, plus we get to see some new edition to the DLC, especially at the end. That last is going to be familiar to Call of Duty fans since it is a remake of the Modern Warfare 3 map "Resistance".
