CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams begin on March 5

Telangana: Delay in board date-sheet leaves students in a lurch

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the datesheets for class 10 and 12 Board exams today.

CBSE Board Announces Program of Classes Intermediate and Higher School Examinations Examinations for both classes will begin in morning shift from 10:30 in the morning. The theory exams come to an end on April 12, 2018 with home science as the last paper. The date sheets for class 10 and 12 will only be released on the official website.

Parents across the city have also shared their apprehensions about the lack of contact between schools and the board this year. The students are advised to keep checking the official website cbse.nic.in to check the schedule of their CBSE board exam 2018 dates.

The board is reportedly planning to sum up the examination in a month, thus giving enough time to teachers to evaluate answer sheets, according to The Indian Express.

The CBSE had also said that it was looking at making the duration of the board exams shorter to give the evaluation process more time. The ICSE exams are starting from February 26, 2018, while the ISC exams (theory papers) are starting from February 12, 2018. Minu Khan, director of Glendale group of schools says, "The date-sheet was supposed to be released on the January 5 first and was then postponed to the January 6. This year it has been a seesaw for students with rumours and assumptions regarding the exams".

Pastor Gets Standing Ovation After "Apologizing" for Sexually Abusing Teen Girl
After a few minutes, Woodson says Savage said he was sorry and pleaded with her not to tell anyone. Woodson says she was embarrassed but cooperated because she thought Savage loved her.

This news is still not confirmed by the board itself but is claimed by many sources.

The moderation policy leads to the insane cut-off competition witnessed for entrance to colleges every year. Last year, up to 11 extra marks were given awarded in certain subjects.

In October 2017, school education secretary Anil Swarup wrote to the heads of all state education boards, advising them to completely avoid "bunching of marks" and "their spiking", and 178 states "responded positively" to the suggestion. Why exactly was this not done is not clear. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data for 2015, every hour one student commits suicide in India.

The fact that board exams are such a trial by fire for children is anyway an indictment of our education system, parents, government policies, and society as a whole.
