Following Alexa's footsteps, Google has created a consolidated database which lists all of the Assistant's functions on a dedicated page on the Google Assistant website.

But there are also moments when a screen would make the Assistant even more helpful, like when you need to learn how to cut a pineapple, and the best way is to watch a video.

"There's a whole crowd of people who wear their headphones throughout the day and this has kind of enabled them to do their messaging and notifications without having to pull their phone out", Google Assistant VP Scott Huffman told VentureBeat in an interview. These new devices have the Google Assistant built in, and with the added benefit of a touch screen, they can help you get even more done. And that Assistant works with over 1,500 smart devices from over 200 brands, with more on the way.

Walcott could be set for Southampton return
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has insisted he hopes the England global stays put, but Walcott could be on the move this month. He has gone on to make over 400 appearances for the Gunners, racking up more than 100 goals in the process.

North Korea breaks silence with South Korea
Kang has previously said about 43 foreign state leaders have so far committed to visit South Korea during the Olympics. When asked whether there would be no prerequisites, the president responded: "That's not what I said at all".

Israel To Approve More Than 1200 New West Bank Housing Units
It annexed East Jerusalem , saying the entire city is its indivisible capital, in a move that was not internationally recognized. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin vowed that "security forces will track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice".

Finally, Google is expanding Assistant further into existing categories, including TVs and headphones.

Right now, drivers are expected to pair their phones to their cars to activate the Assistant, but that may not be the case forever.

Google also appears to be doubling down on "Hey Google" as a call sign for the Assistant; in briefings given to Android Central throughout the week, representatives from Google and other companies demoing products didn't use "OK Google" at all, and actively encouraged us to start using the less formal greeting going forward. This feature is already available on vehicles from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Hyundai and coming soon to Kia and Fiat Chrysler. Those range from looking up photos with Google Photos to starting a meditation session from Headspace. Well, the voice command we use now is the only Google Now which made its debut years ago. And to make talking about them a bit easier, Google is also now calling its first-party actions... wait for it... And we bet you'll find a few gems you never knew the Assistant could do. We can't wait to see what you do with the Assistant this year.
