Krypton Trailer Introduces Adam Strange And 'DC Science Fiction Universe'

Superman's grandfather Seg-El gets some bad news in the new trailer for Syfy's "Krypton".

"It's this gateway into the DC science fiction universe", Goyer said, when asked whether we might see the Green Lantern Corps, Apokolips or New Genesis on the series.

The show is set in the world 200 years before the birth of Krypton.

"It also has such a different look from lots of other superhero shows out there that were shot in Vancouver, and we wanted this to have a really different specific look".

As fans know, the series is expected to provide a unique take on the Superman mythos, following Seg-El's (Cameron Cuffe) quest to clear the name of the House of El, all while dealing with a warning from time traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos). Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, "Krypton" follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel's grandfather, who is faced with a life and death conflict - save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson.

Australia Will Just Keep Getting Hotter Until 2050
Dr Braganza added: "We have seen that warming across the land surface temperatures and in the oceans surrounding Australia". Seven of Australia's 10 warmest years have occurred since 2005.

Luis Suarez credited with an assist in Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona
Atletico Madrid remained in a distant second place after it had temporarily closed the gap by beating Getafe 2-0 on Saturday. However, the Anfield heavyweights have given in to pressure from Barca and Coutinho.

"The time travel element does give us some unpredictability and some creative license to do some stories you don't know or stories that play out differently than what people might assume", DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns adds. Unusual is a superhero who travels from Earth to protect House of El.

Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy) through his Phantom Four banner.

The question then becomes how do you make this series tie in with Superman at all if the hero's whole existence is about his separation from his home. According to Goyer, "This is an untold story and time travel is involved". "He's the unlikely choice of shouldering this burden of trying to stop someone from the present trying to prevent this Superman legacy..."

"There have been a lot of stories throughout the comics that we're drawing from", Johns said. At the recent Television Critics Association winter press tour, Goyer revealed the future plans for the show and teased the possibility of the appearance of other popular characters.

"He's an unlikely hero", Johns said of Adam Strange. The series premieres on Syfy on March 21st.
