Bannon Hires Quinn Emanuel Atty For House Russia Probe

Trump claimed that his ex-chief strategist "betrayed" him when he told author Michael Wolff that his son, Donald Trump Jr., was "unpatriotic" and "treasonous" for hosting a campaign meeting attended by several Russian operatives promising "dirt" on Hillary Clinton. He also reportedlysaid that then-candidate Donald Trump must have known about it, and made other disparaging remarks about the Trump family.
Applying this rule helps explain the split between Trump and Bannon. Bannon did not apologize for his criticism of the president's daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, with whom he had squabbled inside the West Wing.
Trumpism, understood correctly, at its core, could always be summed up as Donald Trump first.
Trump's nefarious anti-immigration remarks in declaring his intention to run for president back in 2015, in which he accused Mexico of sending "rapists" to the U.S. and vowed to build a "great, great wall" along the southern U.S. border, were made without Bannon's involvement.
Sensex, Nifty set fresh records; banks, refiners lead gains
A total of 109 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while two stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Midcap index was 0.61 per cent down at 18,056, while Sensex was 0.22 per cent down at 34,427 around 12.35 pm (IST).
And with that, Bannon is pretty much dead in the water as a major political force in America.
As Trump aides called him disloyal and disgraceful, the president branded his former chief strategist on Twitter as "Sloppy Steve", an apparent reference to Bannon's often unkempt appearance, and declared that "he lost his mind" when he was pushed out of the White House last August.
In a way, and for a time, the couple were a ideal match. As if we didn't already know that greed trumped security.
Cohen said in a statement to The Journal that Trump "once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels".
The New York Timesreports that Bannon's departure was forced by Rebekah Mercer, a Republican megadonor whose investment in Breitbart gave her a seat on the board.
