Unseasonably warm temperatures and heavy rain could cause flooding in the Lower Hudson Valley on Friday. The heaviest snow and sleet is likely to come between 2 and 9 a.m. Saturday. New snow and sleetaccumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. That could flash freeze the rain, forming a thin but treacherous layer of ice on roads and sidewalks. Friday high temperatures will be around 48 degrees around daybreak, and cool into the lower 30s Friday afternoon. The other which moves through Sunday afternoon could allow for some brief snow showers across Mid-Missouri with a possible dusting of snow.
The forecast calls for freezing rain and sleet before 8 p.m., then sleet between 8 p.m. and midnight with snow after midnight. Strong gusty winds will also be felt at speeds of 25-35 miles per hour.
