Defender Vitor Hugo's thumping header gave Fiorentina a 1-0 win over Benevento in an emotional Serie A encounter at the Artemio Franchi stadium in Florence, the home side's first game since the sudden death of their captain Davide Astori a week ago.
The Viola captain and Italy worldwide died in his sleep last Saturday, which led to an outpouring of grief from the football community.
The entire day was dedicated to Astori's memory, with all the mascots wearing the defender's now-retired No.13 shirt - half in Fiorentina jerseys, half in Cagliari colours...
After the win, Fiorentina sit in the ninth spot in the Serie A table with 38 points, while Benevento remain in the last place with only ten points.

Karti Chidambaram in Tihar Jail till March 24
The Delhi court ordered the jail authorities to ensure that adequate security is provided to Karti Chidambaram until March 24. The CBI said Karti remained "evasive" and "non-cooperative" during interrogation and sought 15 days judicial custody.
The game was (symbolically) stopped in the 13th minute as everyone applauded in Astori's honour and with fans displaying a lovely choreography on the stands for their captain.
The club displayed a banner across the centre circle ahead of the game, which simply read "Captain Forever", while the Fiorentina players also wore T-shirts featuring Astori's name and his now retired number, 13, during their pre-match warm-up.
