O'Rourke also led his opponents in the Democrat primary by nearly 40-percent, receiving roughly 600,000 votes.

Cruz won 85 percent of the vote in the Republican primary on Tuesday. Cruz will have his seat threatened by Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke, and already, Cruz is grasping at straws to discredit his competition.
