The police report notes that Hardy totaled his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V with an estimated $8,000 in damages.
More details regarding the arrest came from CBS Sports and revealed that Hardy was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly ran off the runway and struck a guardrail before the auto spun and stopped in the middle of the right northbound lane. This is standard procedure for such arrests in North Carolina.
The following statement was released by WWE regarding Hardy's weekend arrest per PWInsider.
According to the arrest report obtained by CBS Sports, Hardy was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly "ran off the roadway. striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the vehicle spun out 90 degrees. coming to rest in the middle of the right [north] bound lane of travel".
Hardy has been out of actino since suffering a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff in September 2017. Hardy's license has been suspended, and his first court date is now set for April 16th. As is law in North Carolina, Hardy has had his driver's license suspended for 30 days until the case is tried. He was recently cleared to return and was scheduled to begin training at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando this month.
Although the details are not yet known for the latest run-in, it could potentially delay the former WWE champion's return to the spotlight.
Hardy had reportedly been given the OK to get back into the ring following surgery he had past year.
