Hearthstone's next expansion sees players enter The Witchwood

Something spooky is stirring in the heart of The Witchwood, the next expansion for Hearthstone®, Blizzard Entertainment's smash-hit digital card game.
"Dark magic has twisted the creatures of the forest and set them loose upon the Gilnean capital in Azeroth, but King Genn Greymane and his lycanthropic subjects won't make for easy prey", Blizzard said in an announcement.
While it's unclear whether this new mode will make use of the Dungeon Run's procedurally generated dungeon-building systems, Hearthstone's Lead Missions Designer Dave Kosak hinted at revisiting the format in an interview with Gaming Trend last month.
Along with a bevy of new cards, Witchwood will also introduce a new Echo keyword.
"Minions with the Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately after they hit the board, either by being played or summoned".
The "Start of Game" mechanic, as the revealed cards indicate, will be activated based to the mana cost of the cards in your deck (whether they are all odd or even numbered) and if the terms are met a specific effect will be activated.
Vikings among teams to reach out to Drew Brees
Brees is an 11-time Pro Bowler and led the Saints to the 2009 Super Bowl (we won't deep dive, Vikings fans). If the Saints and Brees haven't agreed on a deal by Monday afternoon, it could get wild.
The new single-player mode is Monster Hunt. Cards that read "Echo" can be played multiple times in the same turn.
Monster Hunts will send players deep into The Witchwood to stamp out the evils that lurk within. Blizzard has released a wacky Blair Witch-inspired trailer for The Witchwood, which includes an introduction to six of the new cards (Azalina Soulthief, Genn Greymane, Baku the Mooneater, Phantom Militia, Pumpkin Peasant, and Militia Commander). Each turn a worgen card is in a player's hand, its Attack and Health are swapped, creating opportunities to play the card at just the right time. Buying into the 50 pack pre-order of The Witchwood will grant you an additional 20 packs in addition to the exclusive card back.
There will be four new heroes, each with their own hero power.
The expansion will also add a new Monster Hunt mode to the action, similar to Kobolds & Catacombs' Dungeon Run, that challenges players with a series of eight increasingly hard encounters leading into a big boss fight.
The Witchwood is now available for pre-purchase on Blizzard's store for $49.99 and comes with 70 decks filled with new cards. The expansion is set to release sometime before the end of April.
