Jose Mourinho SLAUGHTERS Frank de Boer after Marcus Rashford criticism

Frank De Boer slams Jose Mourinho's treatment of Manchester United's Marcus Rashford

"I read something, some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League", the United boss said.

Mourinho went on to defend his management of Rashford - a player who has made 40 appearances across all competitions this season and 93 in total under United's current coach.

"Mourinho is not like that, he wants to get results".

'If he has one or two not good games, he puts him out.

Despite featuring forty times for United this season, Rashford has struggled for starts with Saturday's derby against Liverpool being the striker's first of 2018.

With competition for a attacking berths being so intense, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Anthony Martial all options, it was always going to be hard to play every minute of every game this term, but the Manchester native is certainly giving Jose Mourinho a tougher job deciding who to pick now.

"If he was coached by Frank he would be coached how to lose because he lost every game".

De Boer was appointed Palace manager last summer on a three-year deal but was sacked just four games into the season and replaced by Roy Hodgson.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has responded to Frank de Boer's comments on Marcus Rashford - and it's fair to say they struck a nerve.

The Dutchman's remarks prompted a savage response from Mourinho. He had seven matches, seven defeats [sic], zero goals. I try to give the best to the kid. The best thing to happen is to have experience. "The more you do, the easier the results come on the pitch.", Rashford said after the Liverpool game.

"I don't know (if he can play), we don't know yet, but he trained a little bit after you left".

The former Chelsea manager has not just talked the talked though but has also walked the walked as Marcus Rashford was the only player involved in every match-day squad prior to his injury. I said that before the Liverpool match when many of you were maybe not expecting him to start. I'm really happy with Marcus'.
