Mar 13 2018 by Michele Stevens
Nokia Power User reports based on a source in China that the upcoming Nokia 9 flagship will come with a notch. The notch has become one of the hottest trends in Android market since the iPhone X launch. The same source also confirms some past rumours that include Snapdragon 845 and an in-display fingerprint sensor for the Nokia 9.
HMD Global, the company that holds the brand license to manufacture and sell Nokia handsets, seems to be jumping on the "notch-sporting-handset" bandwagon.
He also asserted that HMD Global was looking to maximize the display area on its 2018 flagship handsets. The upcoming flagship would have no rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The Nokia 9 has already appeared in quite a few leaks, and the Nokia 8 Pro's entire specs sheet has now popped up online. The basic one will feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, whereas the other variant will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As per earlier report, the Nokia 9 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor with a 5.7-inch display. It has a curved edge-to-edge 5.5-inch pOLED 2K display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Rumors are rife that it can feature the same 12-megapixel dual camera module which has been made available on Nokia 8 Sirocco. On the connectivity front, it will feature a USB Type C port.
