Yodel-lay-hee-who is helping a almost 70-year-old song dominate the Spotify charts?

But The Ellen Degeneres Show holds a very special place in our hearts, so when 11-year-old Mason Ramsey made an appearance last night to chat with Ellen, we were tickled. Can you even imagine what a thrilling day that was for the 11-year-old? As Ramsey tells DeGeneres, he actually sings in Walmart "all the time", seeing as it is the only store they have in his rural hometown of Harrisburg, Ill. Afterward, he says, he plans on saving all his money, go to college, and move to Florida, where he'll probably work his way up the business in a motor home.

The song now occupies the No. 4 spot on Spotify's Global Viral 50 chart, putting it in the same company as songs released this year by Cardi B, The Weeknd, Lil Dicky and Tyler, The Creator.

In the weeks since he went viral for yodeling in the aisles of a Walmart store, Mason Ramsey has visited the Ellen Show, become the subject of meme mashups, and earned an upcoming performance slot at the Grand Ole Opry. Ramsey is also set to stage a concert at his local Walmart and then also receive a $15,000 college scholarship from Walmart.

The meme features 11-year-old Mason Ramsey, decked out in a cowboy belt buckle, studded boots and a red bowtie, serenading shoppers at a Walmart in southern IL.

Now its Ramsey's turn to breathe new life to the song.
