Sega Japan teases 'Mega Drive Mini', a new mini Genesis

The miniature version of the classic 16-bit Sega system has been given a 2018 release date, although it's unclear if it will launch in the USA and Europe.
This year was different, however, and there was something for everyone. It's not now known if this console is based on the AtGames hardware Sega spoke about importing into Japan recently, but externally, the system seems to be all-new. A few moments ago the arrival of Shenmue I & II to PS4, Xbox One, PC was confirmed and now we have another surprise, as the company announced that a Mega Drive Mini retro console is on its way.
According to Famitsu (via Forbes), development of the new Mega Drive Mini will be handled by Sega.
The game will include both English and Japanese voiceovers, visuals options for PC, a choice between modern and classic control schemes, fully scalable screen resolution, and it will come both in physical and digital forms.
Third, SEGA announced SEGA Ages for the Nintendo Switch and be available via the Nintendo eShop. Fans of the Switch don't need to worry, as SEGA made a decision to change that.

Lastly, SEGA revealed that a new entry in the Sakura Taisen (known as Sakura Wars in the West) series is in the works.
