House fire claims one man's life

Hickory Township Volunteer Fire Department responded and found Taylor laying in an upstairs hallway.

Firefighters are trying to determine what started a house fire that killed a man Sunday morning.

Around 4:30 p.m. crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Fair Oaks Court for a report of a structure fire. Fire damage was contained to the rear of the structure's main floor and deck, while heavy smoke damage affected the rest of the structure.

National Weather Services issues a tornado watch for Nodaway County
