People encouraged to play street hockey this weekend for Humboldt

T-shirts with the hashtag #SaskStrong were on sale near the entrance with $5 from the funds being donated to the Broncos.
"It's Canada and we're proud of our country and were proud of hockey and what it means to every Canadian", said Smith.
Michelle Moison, wearing a Montreal Canadiens jersey, dropped some money in the bottle as the mother of three children who play travel hockey.
David and Nicole D'hondt were watching their son Xavier play during the tournament and were proudly wearing Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs jerseys respectively. "So it's really hard not to think about those players and their families and all the suffering that community's going to be going through".

This is Jersey Day across the province, a day when thousands will be decked out in green and gold in tribute to Humboldt, Saskatchewan.
The athletic therapist for the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team, 24-year-old Dayna Brons, died of her injuries Wednesday afternoon in a Saskatoon hospital.
"I think the incident resonates with a lot of the smaller communities right across Canada in terms of hockey and what it means to people and their families", said Bruce Beakley, director human of resources with the County of Renfrew. Dozens of sports organizations, school boards and local businesses across Canada, the US and even Europe are encouraging their members and students to wear jerseys or green and gold colours on Thursday.
