Red's $1300 Holographic Phone Coming to AT&T, Verizon This Summer

It's highly unusual for the top two wireless service providers in the U.S. to carry the rookie smartphone effort of a company like RED, whose expertise lies elsewhere. (For its part, Verizon would only it's offering the phone later this year.) Red, which specializes in digital cameras, posted last month that the Hydrogen One's launch had been pushed back to August, though it also said the final date would be determined by its carrier partners. But RED is actually making and releasing one.
Red Hydrogen One, the oft-delayed smartphone from the famed camera maker, is finally coming out, and in the USA it will be coming to Verizon and AT&T. The phone is the first consumer handset from Red, the company better known for its high-end digital cameras used to create Hollywood films. It purports to be the first holographic phone in the world. They will be previewing the phone to the public showing games, movies, and other content that will be available on it. No pricing information was given with the announcement about the availability either.

You can sign up to be notified when Verizon will have the Hydrogen One in stores at this link. It also has a insane "holographic" display which few people have even seen to date. Verizon also doesn't give a release date for the phone.
Today, both AT&T and Verizon have confirmed that the Hydrogen One will be launching on their networks this summer. Apple, for what it's worth, has patents detailing holographic screens. Studios in Los Angeles, June 2-3. According to previous communications from Red's CEO, this phone will pack in some 2017 tech, like the Snapdragon 835.
