The Flash, Supergirl, and the Legends of Tomorrow will be joined by Batwoman to help fight Gotham City's crime.

ComicBook.com was on hand during the network's Upfronts presentation, where Arrow star Stephen Amell made the Batwoman announcement. But we do know that at least one bat-hero will be there to meet the gang in the form of Batwoman herself. We already have heard some references to Wayne Enterprise within the Arrowverse over the years, so it's not all that big of a shock to hear that The CW is finally going in this direction.

The CW just dropped a major bombshell on its fans, with the news that Batwoman will play a role in this year's upcoming Arrowverse crossover.

CW president Mark Pedowitz added to that, saying that "the city of Gotham" will also be integrated into the Arrowverse. How do you think this will change the CW superhero world? Earlier this season, Oliver Queen name-dropped Bruce Wayne, confirming that Batman is at least in the same universe as Green Arrow. That show, from Warner Horizon Scripted Television, comes from "Gotham" executive producer/writer Bruno Heller and executive producer/director Danny Cannon, and premieres in 2019. Undoubtedly an iconic comic book character in her own right, it will be fantastic to see her team up with the Green Arrow and The Flash, as well as a host of female heroes including the likes of Supergirl, White Canary and maybe even Black Siren. No matter what is decided here, it's going to be exciting to see what's next - especially in terms of who is cast and if this could lead to a full-fledged Batwoman series down the road.
