Prince Andrew mounted a horse for the first time at this year's Trooping the Colour.

On Saturday, the Queen, who last month had a successful day procedure to remove a cataract, left Buckingham Palace at 10.45am (local time) for the ceremony.

The ceremony culminates with a magnificent balcony appearance by the Royal Family. Guardsman Charanpreet Singh Lall, 22, will march among 1,000 soldiers taking part in Trooping the Colour ceremony which also marks the Queen's official birthday.

Sarah, Duchess of York has said that she is "very proud" of the Duke of York following his debut at Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. Meghan has become particularly close to her father-in-law, who walked her down the aisle and was instrumental in helping Meghan and Harry with wedding planning.

From the vantage point of the Duke of Wellington's old office, which overlooks Horse Guards Parade, Camilla, Harry, Meghan and Kate and the other members of the Royal Family watched the finale of the event.
