The game features two factions and familiar real-time strategy gameplay where you attempt to balance resource management and unit placement.
Like other compact competitive mobile games, Command & Conquer: Rivals shows the whole map on the screen, though your opponent is hidden behind fog of war. EA revealed the game during its EA Play event today in Los Angeles ahead of next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Android users will be able to pre-register starting today, and USA and Canada players may be able to try the pre-alpha. The title is inspired by Clash Royale, but it allows you to control your units after deployment. This gives Command and ConquerRivals a fast pace as it only takes two hits to destroy a player's base.
EA is making Rivals specifically for mobile and touchscreen controls.
