Female Palestinian medic Razan Al Najar reacts to tear gas as she works at the scene of clashes at Israel Gaza border in the southern Gaza Strip

Israeli troops shot dead a 21 year-old Palestinian stone-thrower during an arrest raid in the West Bank Wednesday after a soldier was hit in the head with a rock, the Israeli military and Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The IDF has released a video showing Razan al-Najjar, the Palestinian nurse allegedly killed by Israeli sniper fire on the Gaza border, throwing a gas grenade and acknowledging her role as a human shield for Hamas terrorists.

Pro-Palestinian Israeli activist Jonathan Pollak, who works with the Free the Tamimis campaign, told MEE that Tamimi was shot with live fire at least twice when he was 45 meters away from the soldiers.

"The soldier responded by firing at the Palestinian, who was wounded and given medical treatment at the scene", it said.

The U.N. and European Union have accused Israel of using excessive force, while rights groups say the open fire orders are illegal because soldiers are shooting toward unarmed people when their lives are not in imminent danger. "He was treated at the scene and he was later declared dead".

Justin Trudeau: We won't be pushed around by Trump
President Donald Trump meets with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the G-7 summit on Friday in Charlevoix, Canada . Roughly 28,000 American service members and civilian military personnel are now stationed in South Korea.

Palestinians said Tamimi was shot from a close range by three bullets, one of them hit him in the neck. Palestinians want East Jerusalem for their future capital.

The Israeli military controls most of the territory of the West Bank, protecting 400,000 Jewish settlers who now live there among around 3 million Palestinians.

Attacks have petered off in recent months as the Palestinian focus has shifted toward protests at the Gaza border, where Israeli troops have killed over 115 Palestinians wounded almost 3,700 more during near-weekly protests, according to Palestinian health officials.

Israel says many protest participants were members of Hamas, the dominant armed group in the Gaza Strip, and militants trying to breach the fenced frontier and launch attacks.

The IDF said it's investigating this latest incident, in which Izz ad-Din Tamimi was killed, but it's far from the first case of Palestinians being shot.
