GETTY Prince Louis could join his brother and sister on Buckingham Palace balcony

Meghan Markle has appeared alongside Prince Harry, who she married three weeks ago, to celebrate the Queen's official birthday at Trooping the Colour.

Members of the royal family watch the flypast on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping The Colour on June 9, 2018 in London, England.

The royal colonels, all on horseback, will accompany the Queen, Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince William.

Meghan, Harry and the other members of the royal family took their place in Wellington's former office which overlooks the parade ground.

Since her first appearance in 1981, Princess Diana also maintained royal tradition by wearing dresses with sleeves that went past her elbows during the Queen's public birthday celebration.

In the ceremonial celebration of the queen's birthday, which is actually in April, over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a display of military precision and horsemanship.

The short-sleeve number defied the customary long sleeve variations sister-in-law Kate Middleton has worn since her Trooping debut in 2011. She is due to join Queen Elizabeth in Cheshire for her first solo appearance alongside the Queen on Thursday. Since then, the couple du jour have jetted off to a top-secret honeymoon destination (Psst, it was reportedly in Ireland). Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip stayed their in 2005.

In Cheshire, they'll undertake classic royal duties: opening a bridge, officially cutting a ribbon at a cultural centre that's actually been going since past year, and finally, a lunch at the Chester Town Hall.
