Kingdom Hearts 3 has a release date: January 29, 2019

Hopefully Kingdom Hearts III will be a polished experience when it launches on consoles soon.

As announced at last night Kingdom Hearts Orchestra concert in Los Angeles, the highly anticipated game has been pushed back to January 29, 2019.

While the game's producer, Tetsuya Nomura apologizes that he and his team need addition time to finish up the game, at the very least the game now has a firm release date. News of the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date broke on Twitter earlier this evening.

A follow-up tweet noted that trailers and more information will be coming at E3.

No mention has been made of a release of the game on Windows PC, but with the recent porting of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV, it's not necessarily out of the realm of possibility. The new trailer focused heavily on the world of one of Disney's greatest commercial successes in recent years, primarily on two fan-favorite characters: Elsa and Olaf.
