Samsung patents combined button and in-display fingerprint sensor

Samsung Mobiles has introduced all new Samsung Galaxy J3 2018 and Galaxy J7 2018. For reference, the 2017 Galaxy J3 cost $149.99, while the Galaxy J7 launched at $219.99.

While the exact functionality of the this button remains unknown as of now, it could be either be a shortcut for Samsung personal digital assistant Bixby or a dedicated camera shutter button.
After failing to achieve an in-display fingerprint reader, Samsung settled for one at the back of the handset, but rumours, which have now been confirmed, show that they did not repeat the mistake of previous year, and actually moved the fingerprint reader away from the camera module. The easy-to-use 5MP (F2.2) front and 8MP (F1.9) rear cameras take crisp, clear selfies and group photos. Samsung is yet to reveal the processor and battery details but claims that it will feature a long-lasting battery.

Apple is rumoured to launch a new affordable iPhone X in 2018 which features a larger 6.1-inch display but should be LCD, to save money. There is a 13MP camera at the back with f/1.7 aperture and a similar 13MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture at the front for clicking selfies.
