Square Enix’s E3 Presentation Leaves Audiences Asking: Is This It?

Kingdom Hearts 3 fans have eagerly awaited E3 for any new news about the highly anticipated game, and during the Square Enix panel, the publisher debuted a new trailer that showed some new gameplay. Not much else is known at the moment, though you can watch a trailer for it below. Despite the Luminary being on the receiving end of a monologue about how harsh their life has been so far - and then taking part in a battle against the undead - it's all quite strangely celebratory.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled for release on January 29, 2019, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Unfortunately for Square Enix, the slew of trailers thrown in felt underwhelming since majority have already been seen before- many of them were shown at Microsoft's conference on Sunday.

That suggests the transition we saw in the video is how the game works - blending TV show style cut scenes with gameplay.

While Square Enix's showcase was ultimately disappointing, it's all their own doing.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider offered a first look at jungle combat, with what seems to be a stealth system very similar to the Predator sections in Batman: Arkham. The Quiet Man is a weird pitch but a new IP, which I will always approve of. Just Cause 4 is due to launch on December 4th.

Developer Platinum Games, which also made Nier: Automata, gave a glimpse of its upcoming project with a timeline-centric trailer. The reveal of a new world, or an early look at its Big Hero 6 locale?

In celebration of this new game, the Dragon Quest franchise will also be crossing over with Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.
